best game Euro Truck Simulator 2 or American Truck Simulator. Personally, I would sat ETS2 is better. It has more road size content I think and an overall better game for half the price! ATS2 is good, do not get me wrong and it has some decent trucks and controlling but the map is smaller and I feel you are much more limited in the game.
i have also an 2080ti with 32gb ram and an 4790k. i would suggest to try to open the ETS2 config.cfg (with word pad or notepad++ or whatever) in your documents folder\Euro Truck Simulator 2, find and set interleaved_reprojection to "1" so that the game runs at half framrate and let the steamvr's motion smoothing do the rest. for me the game runs best on 90hz with 300% SteamVR Supersampling

They're 98% the same game. ETS2 has more variation in the maps due to multiple countries. I like both of them but typically enjoy driving the American trucks more than the euro cab overs. But I will alternate every once and a while.

Euro Truck sim 2 is mostly complete. American Truck Sim is just beginning (and got a slow start because they changed the world scale early on). So if you want to drive long distances and feel like a real long haul trucker, then Euro Truck Sim 2 (with all the DLC) is probably better. Both are really good, but ETS 2 has been out for far longer
