CVT is more reliable . The 1.5L i-VTEC gets an optional CVT compared 7-speed DSG available in the 1.5L TSI of the Skoda Slavia and VW Virtus. The former is good for city use and it is also the most reliable than the 7-speed DSG in the long term. Better leg space at the rear seat. We have sat in the fifth-gen Honda City as well as the Skoda Slavia.
Up until a few weeks ago I had a 2012 Superb Elegance GreenLine II with the 1.6 engine. From new I had done 230,000 miles. It was still driving 95% like new until we parted. The most reliable and economical car I've ever owned by an enormous margin. Nothing else comes close.
